Southeast Coast

The Southeast Coast of Vietnam is on the rise, with developing cities like Quy Nhon and Tuy Hoa stretching along a breezy shoreline. Wide beaches brush right up against the streets, and red-brick Cham towers still stand on hilltops as reminders of the region's long and layered history.
Just beyond the city fringes, quiet fishing villages stir to life before sunrise. On the beach, seafood markets are a sight to behold as buckets of fish, clams, prawns are hauled in and traded. That abundance flows straight into the kitchen, with street stalls and beachfront restaurants serving it all—from ốc (sea snails) cooked in lemongrass and chili to whole crabs drenched in tamarind sauce.
But the real star here is the coastline: soft sands, turquoise waters, and almost no crowds. These are the kind of beaches that make you wonder why the country isn’t better known for them. Surfers and kitesurfers have started catching on, but for now, this stretch of Vietnam remains a quiet escape.
